The Liberian President, George Weah has declared free University education for undergraduates in public universities in Liberia.
“Today, I’m excited to announce that I have declared the University of Liberia and all other Public Universities in Liberia tuition free for all undergraduates,” George Weah said in his official facebook page.
Weah succeeded Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa’s first elected female president early this year. This is after the former celebrated footballer won a presidential runoff poll beating Joseph Boakai with more than 60% of the vote.
