FiRe Awards 2024: Police’s Exodus SACCO Recognized

The FiRe Awards Committee has recognized Police Exodus SACCO for its financial reporting.

The FiRe Awards are an annual ceremony through which excellence in financial reporting is recognized and rewarded.

Exodus SACCO emerged 2nd runner up under the category of Cooperatives Society. This was at the awards dinner at the Serena Hotel on Wednesday.

Exodus SACCO membership comprises police officers, their spouses, and children.

UMEME Staff Multipurpose Cooperative managed a 1st Runner Up slot while Wazalendo walked away with a Certificate of Recognition.

In an interview on the sidelines of the awards, the board treasurer, Superintendent of Police Eddy Ssekanjako, said: It is a motivation. It is a show of public accountability. This will go a long way in aiding us meet our strategic plan of attracting more membership.

SP Ssekanjako noted that Exodus SACCO is open to scrutiny as a way of accountability. He adds that the award is a vote of confidence in the SACCO leadership headed by SCP (Rtd) Wilsom Omoding.

SP Ssekanjako pledged Exodus SACCO members a good year, adding that the SACCO leadership is committed to serving them (Members) better.
