Fear As Finance Ministry Orders All Staff Tested For COVID-19

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has requested Ministry of Health to test all staff for COVID-19.

This follows social media reports indicating that some Finance Ministry staff had contracted the deadly disease.

However, the Ministry says it does not have a confirmed case of COVID-19 and that no staff are in self isolation.

“Please ignore social media reports confirming a case at Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,” the Ministry Tweeted.

As of June 8^th 2019, Uganda has 646 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

According to Health Ministry, Uganda has a total of 103 recoveries and no COVID-19 related deaths.
