Passengers going through Entebbe Airport
Entebbe International Airport has recorded passenger influx of over 6, 000 per day for the third straight month, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has said.
UCAA Spokesperson, Vianney M. Luggya, says in February 2024, Entebbe Airport handled 83,483 arriving and 93,884 departing passengers, a total of 177,367 international passengers, an average of 6,116 per day.
“This was 39,162 more than was handled in February 2023,” Luggya says, adding that January 2024 recorded 196,199 passengers , including 1,918 specifically for NAM/G77+ China Summits.
“February 2024 is the third consecutive month to register a daily average of over 6, 000 passengers per day. The pre covid-19 peak was an average of 5, 000 passengers per day in 2019,” says Luggya.
