Cumulative COVID-19 Cases Rise To 821 As Recoveries Reach 731

Uganda’s Ministry of Health has confirmed 16 new COVID-19 cases from samples tested on 24 June 2020.

Five of the new cases are those tested at Points of Entry while 11 are among alerts and contacts of the previously confirmed cases; 4 from Kyotera, Amuru-4, Tororo-1, Kakumiro-1 and Luwero-1.

“The total confirmed COVID-19 cases are now 821. Total COVID-19 recoveries stand at 731,” Henry G. Mwebesa, the Director General Health Services at Ministry of Health said in a statement.

The Ministry added that 7 foreign truck drivers tested positive and were handed over to their respective countries of origin.
