Ugandan Afropop star and MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has been granted bail by a court in the northern town of Gulu.
The court ruled that he did not constitute a flight risk, and could keep his passport.
Newly elected MP Kassiano Wadri was also granted bail.
Mr Wadri is, however, not allowed to go to Arua Municipality in the next three months, unless cleared by court, according to Justice Mubiru.
His allies say he is being targeted by the government because he has emerged as a fierce critic of Mr Museveni since he became an MP last year, and has drawn huge crowds at rallies.
