Archbishop Kaziimba Asks Ugandans To Pray For Struggling Manchester United

The Archbishop of  the Church of Uganda, Stephen Kaziimba (pictured), has urged all Arsenal fans to pray for struggling  English premier league club, Manchester United following their 4:0 lose to arch-rivals Liverpool FC.

The man of God took his twitter followers by surprise when he woke up in the cold morning, celebrating Arsenal’s 4-2 win  against Chelsea.

He also called on Arsenal fans to pray for their rivals, Manchester United.

“Last night, Arsenal did it again! Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Saka scored. What a spectacular performance against Chelsea FC! As we celebrate this 4-2 win, we continue to pray for our players and fans of other Clubs in the League especially Manchester United. May God comfort them!” Kaziimba tweeted.

The man of God’s tweet comes at the time Manchester United club fans are trying to come to terms with one of their worst performances against arch-rivals Liverpool that thrashed 4-0 on Tuesday,  making it 9 goals Liverpool has scored against United in the 2021/2022 season.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are battling for the fourth place finish so as to play in the Champions League, but the two clubs’ performances in recent weeks have been poor.

Kaziimba’s tweet was received with excitement among Arsenal fans like Yona Isiga who replied, “Your Grace! I think we should write a letter to the ‘Church in United’ assuring them of our constant prayers and confirming we are visiting them over the weekend.”

One Ugandan Eric Opedun however attested to Kaziimba’s specialty in touting Manchester United fans arguing that even as Bishop in Mityana Dioceses, it was common practice for him to mock Manchester United.

“You guys may have just seen Archbishop recently. He has been an arsenal bishop ever since. I remember those days at Mityana Secondary School, cheyi any win we get, Sunday service is lit trolls of the other team,” wrote Opedun.

However, Kaziimba’s tweet didn’t go down well with some Manchester United fans like Robert Tumusiime who mocked his club’s poor performance in the last two decades writing, “His Grace, supports a weak team which has not won EPL for over 19years. Manchester United can be good for you not Arsenal.”

Manchester United fans have also asked Archbishop to maintain the same energy come next weekend when Arsenal battles with Manchester United at Emirates Stadium with Dennicious writing, “Your Grace, it’s the 23th, April,2022 at 14:30 this coming Saturday, Don’t forget to tweet after the end of the match regardless the result.”

Archbishop Kaziimba joins other prominent people who have celebrated last night’s Arsenal like Asan Kasingye who thanked Arsenal for the win, stating it has left his skin glowing after looking into the mirror and realizing how handsome he is.
