Irene Mutyaba Kabiri (pictured) has been appointed Corporate Banking Director at Absa Bank Uganda.
A seasoned Banker with over 16 years’ experience in the banking industry, she was previously the Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda.
She has vast experience across all segments having served in various positions as Head, Global Corporates, Head of Local and International Corporates, Head of Commodity Traders and Agriculture among others.
Irene started her career as a Banking officer and has grown through the ranks to her current position. She brings along her international experience having worked in markets like Ghana, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates.
Irene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration from the Durham Business School in the UK.
