Fresh India National Defence College graduate, Uganda’s Brigadier Leopold Kyanda has been appointed as one of his country’s top army bosses.
According to Uganda army spokesperson, Brigadier Richard Karemire, Kyanda has been appointed the new Chief of Staff Land Forces.
“Brig Leopold Kyanda appointed Chief of Staff Land Forces after graduating from the National Defence College – India,” Karemire posted on his Facebook account.
He also revealed that Brig Kayanja Muhanga has been appointed the 2nd Division Commander after a tour of duty as Contingent Commander under AMISOM.
Karemire said that the changes take immediate effect.
