Photos: UCAA Hosts Muslim Community To Inaugural Iftar Dinner

Muslims enjoying Iftar dinner hosted by UCAA

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) Wednesday evening hosted the Muslim community to a colourful inaugural Iftar dinner.

The dinner which took place at UCAA Head office on Wednesday, April 3 was presided over by the Third Deputy Prime Minister, Lukia Nakadama.

The inaugural event was attended by stakeholders from Entebbe and beyond.

Fred Bamwesigye, the Director General at UCAA, said “We shall continue doing this annually to further foster unity and togetherness.”

The Muslim faithful and their guests break a daylong fast during an evening meal called iftar — a celebration typically starting with the sugary, sticky bite of a date, said to be one of the Prophet Muhammad’s favorite foods.
