Entebbe Airport had an average of 4,242 passengers per day in April
Entebbe International Airport recorded 127,283 passengers in April 2023, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has said.
This translates into an average of 4,242 passengers per day compared to 122,341 in the same period of April 2022 (an average of 4,078 per day).
Vianney M. Luggya, the UCAA Spokesman says Entebbe International Airport had 62,413 arrivals in April 2023 and 64,870 departures.
He adds that the Airport recorded 1,124 and 2, 794 metric tons in imports and exports respectively.
It should be noted that Entebbe International Airport recorded 1,574,405 international passengers (arrivals and departures) in 2022, compared to 941,688 in 2021, 565,541 in 2020 and 1,802,107 in 2019.
This trend shows that the aviation industry and Entebbe International Airport in particular is recovering from the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the sector.
