XMM helps ease payments
A new payment solutions firm has opened up in Uganda.
XMM (X Mobile Money), a mobile App developed by Dei Technologies that helps to bridge the mobile money gap between different networks joined the Ugandan market in June 2017.
Maclina Birungi, the XMM Marketing Manager says with your Airtel line, you are able to send and receive money from MTN and vice versa at a lower cost.
“You can also make deposits to your XMM account, keep track of your transactions, buy airtime, internet/data and pay for all your bills at your own convenience,” Birungi says, adding that despite being barely two months old, Ugandans are increasingly embracing the App.
She adds that with XMM, one can send mobile money from their XMM account to another XMM user account.
“If you want to send money to someone not registered with XMM but has a mobile money account, there’s no problem. You can still send them money directly to their mobile money accounts without providing withdraw codes,” Birungi reveals, adding that sending money from XMM to another XMM user is completely free of charge.
With this app, she says a user can send money across networks at half price of what others charge.
“With this app, you can buy Airtime of all networks with just one click At ZERO charge,” she says, adding that one can also pay all utility bills including UMEME, Water, Pay TV among others.
Birungi says XMM App is small and takes less than a minute to download and can be found on Google Play or Apple Store.
“Life today is all about convenience. We launched XMM to make life easier for Smartphone users,” Birungi says, adding: “The App is a one-stop centre for utility transactions and we plan to make it bigger and better.”
