Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes Star, Taddeo Lwanga has joined Egyptian Side Tanta Sports Club on a three-year contract.
According to Vipers, Lwanga left the club after coming to the end of his 2-year contract.
“Lwanga joined us from SC Villa at the start of the 2017/18 season, during which time he established himself as an integral part of the team and proved to be one of the most technically-gifted players in the Uganda Premier League.,” Vipers said in a statement.
It added: “His importance to us was emphasised when he guided the team to the 2017/18 League title, a quarterfinal slot in the Cecafa Kagame Cup and Uganda Cup runners up. The skipper also played a big role as we finished second in the League last season.”
Head coach Edward Golola said: “Taddeo has been a tremendous player for this football club on and off the pitch, his consistency and work ethic has got him this far. I would like to personally thank Taddeo for everything he has done here at Vipers SC.”
The Club added: “Vipers SC would like to wish Taddeo Lwanga the best of luck at Tanta Sports Club (Egypt) where he signed a three year contract and thank him for all of his efforts for the Venoms during his time at the club.”
