Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has urged German investors to consider pumping their monies in Uganda in the fields of wildlife conservation, tree planting and fire fighting.
Museveni made the appeal on Tuesday during a meeting with some investors led by the European nation’s envoy to the country.

Met with with a delegation of German investors led by the Ambassador, Dr. Albrecht Conze, at State House Entebbe. We held fruitful discussions on fire brigade training, tree planting and wildlife conservation.
I advised Mr Hans-Georg Hinterberger from Achelis Uganda Ltd, to work with our police force on fire fighting training, focusing on modern approaches to the task.
On tree planting, I encouraged Mr Matthias Baldus from Global Woods Ltd, to consider establishing a paper-making factory here. This will help us stop importing paper.
I was happy with the 10-year report given to me by Mr Albrecht Furst Zu Oettingen from Spielberg, about the conservation progress in Pian Upe game reserve in Karamoja.
According to his report, there is an increase in the number of animals because people are understanding the importance of conserving wildlife as opposed to poaching them.
