Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has issued guidelines on how to replace lost sim cards.
The tough guidelines include presenting a letter from NIRA verifying that user’s National ID is authentic and card will be used in a genuine type approved device.
According to a statement on Tuesday by Godfrey Mutabazi, the UCC Executive Director, Re-registration of of the applicant by telecom companies by using bio-metrics and photographs will be required.
