Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is in the final stages of launching a state-of-the art data centre that will facilitate the exchange of information with other countries.
This development was revealed by the Commissioner of Information Technology & Innovation at URA, Robert Mutebi, during a visit to the facility by other Members of Senior Management at the Authority.
Mutebi explained that the launch is pending the migration of final data which is expected to happen soon. He also remarked that the new data centre comes at a time when system integration and automation are at their peak in URA.
In his remarks, John R. Musinguzi, the Commissioner General, noted that the Centre will go a long way in solving technological problems in the institution. He also appreciated the I.T team for the great work done in uplifting technology in the institution.
