Homicide police officers from Ssezibwa taking Dounias Nabimanya’s body to Kawolo hospital
A missing loan officer with Pride Microfinance limited in Lugazi municipality has been found dead. Dounias Nabimanya, 30, disappeared four days ago when he went to follow on borrowers in the field.
The bank reported a case of a missing person until on Monday when his decomposing body was found in a bush in Luyanzi-Ttoowa in Lugazi Central Division in Buikwe district. Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson, says a Boda boda rider notified police about the decomposing body in the bush.
She says that they dispatched homicide detectives who positively identified the deceased as the missing pride employee. She says that police also recovered a wallet, a loan book, pen, and mobile handset from the scene.
“Police have already embarked on the investigations to find out the cause of death but we also appeal to the general public to alert the police in case of any information connected to this case so as to expedite the investigations,” Butoto said.
Nabimanya’s wife, Rosette Kyarisiima, says that she last communicated with her husband on Thursday last week but to her shock, he did not return home. She says that when she contacted his workplace, she was told that the deceased had not reported for work for two days.
Ronald Wasswa, the Pride Micro Finance Bank Lugazi Branch Manager, says that Nabimanya started working with the branch about a month ago. He says that the deceased was not used to the community of Lugazi but his disappearance and death leaves many unanswered questions.
Nabimanya hailed from Mironzi Village in Bikurungo Sub County in Rukungiri district.
