Uganda’s leading Hotel and Safari Lodge have been named at the World Travel Awards 2017 held on Tuesday evening in Kigali, Rwanda.
Kampala Serena Hotel was voted as the best in Uganda for the 5th consecutive year. It beat of stiff competition from Hotel Le Petit Village, Laico Lake Victoria Hotel, Lake Victoria Serena Resort & Spa and Sheraton Kampala Hotel to emerge the Uganda’s Leading Hotel 2017.
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge was voted Uganda’s Leading Safari Lodge 2017 after beating tight competition from Apoka Safari Lodge, Chobe Safari Lodge, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, Mahogany Springs Safari Lodge, Mihingo Safari Lodge, Mount Gahinga Lodge and Volcanoes Safaris Bwindi Lodge. This is the second year is a row Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is winning his award.
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is perched on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and offers quality accommodation to those trekking mountain gorillas in the southern sector.
Others that won awards include Roadtrip Uganda (Uganda’s Leading Car Rental Company 2017), Presidential Suite @ Lake Victoria Serena Resort (Uganda’s Leading Hotel Suite 2017) and Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp ( Uganda’s Leading Tented Safari Camp 2017).
However, at a continental level, Uganda didn’t win anything as Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve beat Kidepo Valley National to emerge Africa’s leading national park.
