The Ministry of Health has announced 12 new COVID-19 cases from May29, 2020, bringing the total confirmed cases to 329. Total COVID-19 Recoveries stand at 72 and there are no COVID-19 related deaths in Uganda.

“5 new cases are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu border,” Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng (pictured) said in a statement.
“7 cases are contacts to previously confirmed cases. All were under quarantine at the time of test,” the Minister added.
Additionally, 25 foreign truck drivers positive for COVID-19 were handed over to their country of origin.
