Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has received two (2) electric buses from Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC), bringing their fleet to three.

Makerere University leads with four electric buses in Uganda’s green mobility revolution.

The two electric buses were handed over by Dr. Monica Musenero, the Minister for Science and Technology.

“The electric buses will complement the existing fleet and shall align seamlessly with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) long term goal of achieving net-zero aviation carbon emissions by 2059 to which UCAA subscribes,” UCAA said via its official X handle.

The e-coaches have a capacity of 64 passengers and cover a distance of 500km when fully charged.
