The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Open Minds Forum is underway at the UMA show grounds in the capital, Kampala.
Thousands of youths are attending the conference held under the theme: “SKILLING UGANDA’S YOUTH WITH FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE AND A MINDSET FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS.
URA boss, Doris Akol and a host of motivational speakers are present.
“At a time when many of Uganda’s youth are stuck and are seeking lucrative opportunities for successful growth a tucked development, this OMF 2018 presents an opportunity to inspire and empower you to succeed by showing you how to build a sustainable business in a professional manner,” Akol said in a statement.
URA adopted the idea of the OMF as a proactive way of engaging the public on the critical issues that affect society.
The event happens every year and is also used to solicit feedback from the public.
