Ruparelia Foundation To Use Goat Races Proceeds To Improve Sanitation In Kamwokya Slums

The Ruparelia Foundation, one of the leading philanthropic organizations in Uganda will on Friday 6th December 2019 break ground for the construction of multi-million sanitation toilet facilities in the slums of Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb.

According to Ruparelia Foundation, funds to inject in the project were realised from this year’s Royal Ascot Goat Races that took place on October 12, 2019 at Speke Munyonyo lake side.

It will involve the construction of sanitary toilets at Good Samaritan High School in Kamwokya.

Ruparelia Foundation Managing Director, Rajiv Ruparelia, said the cause is aimed at improving the sanitation in the slums of Kampala.

The Ruparelia Foundation works to improve and promote health, education, sports, general welfare, poverty eradication, improve livelihoods, support the welfare of wildlife and preservation of the environment by fostering partnerships among businesses, corporations, with the government, non-governmental organisations and individuals.
