The police has issued warnings to parents over rampant acts of sodomy by notorious gangs targeting students in their holidays.
The Police 2016 Report sighted an increase in the number of students that are dropping out of school due to negligence  making them soft targets for these gangs.
Meanwhile the Police is working around the clock to find a group of bum-shafters who are said to have  escaped from police custody.
Kagesera Chause Kugonza,  a resident of Kamuli Zone B and the gang are alleged to have fled from the cells at Kireka Police Post.
Kagesera and his group have been on police’s wanted list since December last year for their involvement in spreading immoral vices amongst students.
The police on 23, December 2016 stormed the alleged Kagesera’s residence at midnight where he is said to have organized a same sex party and some culprits were arrested.
Upon searching the premises, leaflets about LGBT and sex lubricants were recovered to assist in the investigations. The arrested include; Kagesera (40), Semambo Dennis (28),  Kato David (30) and others.
The arrested were taken to Kireka Police Post  to aide in further investigations, but they eventually escaped on allegations of being aided by a Police Officer whose name remains undisclosed.
According to Police, Kagesera and the Gang are still on the run on charges of organizing illegal public gatherings contrary to the Public Order Management Act and recruiting youth into homosexual acts.
Police has appealed to public for any information that can lead to the arrest of Kagesera and his group for justice to prevail.
