Kampala Central MP, Muhammad Nsereko has tasked the UPDF to explain circumstances under which city socialite, Brian Kirumira commonly known as Brian White came to take over the chain of command of retrieving bodies of revelers that drowned in Lake Victoria on Saturday.
Apparently, White promised to give UPDF soldiers Shs100,000 for each body retrieved.

Brian White was seen at Mutima Beach directing the UPDF Marines on what to do as they searched for more bodies in a boat wreckage that capsized at the weekend.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday, Nsereko said: “When it gets to that nature, there must be a chain of command. This is a joke. This country has a chain of command. Let us know; he is an army officer? Which type of physics is that of people tying rocks?” Nsereko asked.
Bright Rwamirama, State Minister for Veteran Affairs denied allegations that Brian White took over the command structure saying all the teams at the lake were specialized people.
“The people who are there are people who are specialized to be there,” Rwamirama said.
Nsereko rubbished his claims saying all evidence was on social media and called on UPDF to purchase better equipment other than relying on Brian White’s rudimentary tools.
“We can have better equipment, imagine that is Lake Victoria which is near, imagine if it had happened in Lake Albert,” he said.
