It may sound bizarre but it’s true. Controversial radio personality Mary Luswata has compared the dead singer Mowzey Radio to the Biblical Jesus Christ.
The popular singer succumbed to head injuries he sustained in a brawl 10 days ago at an Entebbe night spot, De Bar. He was pronounced dead on Thursday at 6 a.m from Case Clinic where he spent his last days on life support.
But Luswata, who presents an evening drive show on Galaxy FM, stunned her fellow presenters and listeners alike when she drew comparisons of Radio’s fame to Jesus.
“Radio could only be equated to that guy that fed 5,000 people,” Luswata claimed as fellow presenter Napoleon told her that she was making reference to Jesus.
“Yes, that guy. Jesus is a guy not a girl,” she insisted as the co-presenters opted to shut up.
Radio, born Moses Ssekibogo, died aged 33. As tributes were pouring in from every corner for the Afrobeats musician, Galaxy FM dedicated most of the broadcasts on playing his music.
Radio started his music journey with singer Joseph Mayanja, commonly known as Chameleone but they split in 2008 to form the famous Goodlyfe Crew with Douglas Mayanja, Weasel, the younger brother of Chameleone.
Radio will be laid to rest on Saturday.
