The Principal Private Secretary to President Yoweri Museveni has not been replaced, Business Focus can exclusively report.
According to Anderson Burora, the new Nakawa Division Deputy RDC, reports circulating on social media that Molly Kamukama has been replaced is nothing but “fake news.”
“Yesterday 14th October 2018, falsehood propagators circulated on social media that the PPS to the President Ms. Molly Kamukama Nawe had been replaced by Willis Bashasha the Director for Manifesto Monitoring Unit in the Office of the President, Kindly Treat with utmost Contempt,” the statement issued by Anderson reads in part.
The statement adds, “For Purposes of Clarity, Mr. Willis Bashasha is now Acting Private Secretary in the Office of the President in the Absence of Ms. Deborah Katuramu whose Position is vacant because she been taken to Public Service as Deputy to Mr. Mitala the Secretary to Cabinet and Head of Public Service.”
Social media sites had been awash with reports that Molly had been replaced but it turns out the news is fake.
As PPS, Molly serves as the overall coordinator, supervisor and manager of the related staff and functional units. All heads of related units as well as private secretaries report to the PPS.
“The Public is asked to always verify information circulated on social media from Formal And stipulated known platforms of Govt. The unknown propagators of what is termed as Fake News should be discouraged at all times by putting them to account to what they circulate that is not factual,” the statement added.
