Uganda Coffee Federation and Uganda Coffee Development Authority are have announced that Mbale City will host the Uganda Coffee Day 2021 on 7th October 2021.
In a communication to coffee stakeholders , Paul Martin Maraka, Chair – Organising Committee and the Ag. Executive Director at Uganda Coffee Federation said Mbale City will host the 2021 Uganda Coffee Day for the first time ever under the theme: “A Celebration of Arabica and the Mount Elgon Coffees”.
Mbale was chosen as a way of celebrating Mount Elgon’s contribution to coffee development today and into the future.
It will also be used to launch the Drink Uganda Coffee Month – a national premier domestic consumption program.
Maraka further said the day will be used to jump start domestic tourism, specifically coffee tourism, following the COVID 19 lockdown.
“Let’s meet all meet in Mbale – in the Shadow of Mountain – to celebrate Ugandan Coffee, its contribution, and impact,” he said.
