Lt Col Juma Seiko has been detained at Kawempe Police Station in Kampala on attempted murder charges for allegedly shooting and injuring three people along Mambure Road.
According to reports, the incident which happened at 1pm on Sunday was prompted after Seiko allegedly caused an accident leading to a scuffle hence the shooting.
The injured have been identified as; Ali Juuko, Kasirye Zimula and Joseph Lule. The trio were rushed to Mulago Hospital following the incident.
Earlier in the day, another UPDF soldier reportedly shot three people after an argument in a bar in Nakulabye, close to the city centre.
