Java House Uganda has officially opened its 10th outlet in Naguru
Java House Uganda has strengthened its footprint in the country with the official opening of its new branch at Shell Naguru, marking the brand’s 10th outlet in Uganda as it celebrates 12 years of serving premium coffee and dining experiences to communities across the country.
The Naguru branch represents both a strategic expansion and a flagship investment, reflecting Java House’s continued growth and commitment to bringing its signature blend of gourmet coffee, curated meals, and warm hospitality closer to customers in key residential and commercial hubs.
Operationally, the Naguru restaurant stands out within the Java House network due to its strategic location and the diversity of its customer mix. Serving guests across multiple dayparts, the outlet is designed to set elevated service, design, and operational standards that support the wider brand. The space offers a modern, comfortable environment suited for quick coffee stops, business meetings, and relaxed dining, reinforcing Java House’s role as a lifestyle and community brand in Uganda.
As part of this milestone, Java House is introducing new products to its menu, including Java Ka Chai, the Java Gold Label Black Tea, expanding its beverage portfolio to cater to a broader range of tastes.
The brand is also preparing to roll out Java House In-House Delivery, a service developed in response to evolving urban lifestyles and a growing demand for convenience, particularly among younger, tech-savvy consumers.
This move signals Java House’s continued evolution to meet present-day customer expectations, where quality dining experiences extend beyond the restaurant space.
At launch, customers will be able to place delivery orders via direct phone calls or WhatsApp, managed through a centralized call centre, with additional ordering channels such as an app and website planned for later phases.
Preparation and rider dispatch will be closely coordinated to ensure meals arrive fresh and well packaged, with estimated delivery times ranging between 30 to 45 minutes depending on distance.
Strong operational controls have been put in place to maintain consistency in food quality, service standards, and overall brand experience, ensuring that customers receive the same level of excellence whether dining in or ordering from home or office.
“We’re excited to bring our love for coffee and food to even more Ugandans with the creation of this new branch, and we can’t wait to see how our customers enjoy the special offers we’ve crafted for them. We will continue to serve Uganda with the same passion, expanding our reach and creating moments that feel close to home for all of our customers,” said Priscilla Gathungu, CEO of Java House.
The Naguru opening has created dozens of direct jobs while also supporting indirect employment through local partners, further strengthening Java House’s contribution to Uganda’s economy. The outlet also serves as an important training and talent development centre, providing skills development, leadership training, and career progression opportunities within the organization, reinforcing the brand’s long-term investment in people alongside infrastructure.
Java House Uganda continues to work with a strong network of local partners to support sustainable growth, with approximately 95% of supplies sourced locally, including fresh produce, dairy, poultry, and other key inputs. These partnerships improve supply reliability, reduce lead times, strengthen quality control, and contribute to the local economy while building long-term supply chain resilience.
“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and expanding to Naguru is part of our mission to ensure that every Ugandan has access to our warm, welcoming service and the high-quality meals and coffee we are known for. Vivo Energy has also been a key strategic partner, providing a well-maintained and accessible location at Shell Naguru that supports both dine-in and delivery operations, which directly enhances customer experience and operational efficiency,” said Eusila Jepleting, Country Manager, Java House Uganda.
With a strong presence across East Africa and more than a decade of operations in Uganda, Java House continues to grow as one of the region’s leading coffee-led casual dining brands, deepening its connection with communities through quality, innovation, and memorable customer experiences.
