The Ministry of Health (MOH) has directed health Workers to wear two face masks while at the clinics and doing ward rounds.
In a circular to hospitals, Dr. Henry Mwebesa, the Director General of Health services said they have been guided so by the scientific committee owing to the surge in cases.
Just yesterday, a total of 754 people with COVID-19 were admitted in health facilities across the country, with most of the Kampala facilities reported to be full.
According to results released today, of the 3693 samples tested yesterday, 708 tested positive and five people succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 388.
Currently, the test positivity rate is 19.2 percent.
