Colonel Fred Kaka Bagyenda, the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation has written to Police explaining his role in the visit of the dead Finnish national, Tersvuori Tuomas Juha Petteri.
Tersvuori was found dead in in room 806 at Pearl of Africa Hotel on February 6th, 2018. It is alleged that Tersvuori came to Uganda on February 5th, 2018 on the invitation of Bagyenda.
It was also claimed that the room Tersvuori checked in was booked by ISO operatives. However, Col. Bagyenda, the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation has written to Investigating Officer, Joshua Tusingwire denying any connections with the deceased.
Bagyenda also explains that the purpoted letter issued by him inviting the deceased to Uganda is a forgery. The ISO chief is yet to record a statement and provide his signature for scrutnity by handwriting experts to ascertain the authenticity of the letter.
Preliminary Investigations reveal that a business fixer identified as Carol, a friend to the deceased’s girlfriend identified as Faridah Nakaye contacted ISO operatives with an arms deal on behalf of the late. Tersvuori was working with Pattari, a Finnish arms company.
