Government through the Ministry of Works and Transport has suspended the issuance of new driving permits as well as renewal of old ones for 30 days due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.
The Minister of Works and Transport Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala (pictured) says the suspension takes effect from today, March 27th to April 27th and is in line with the government’s directives.
He adds the offices of Face Technologies will be closed during this time and that the ministry has directed traffic police officers to excuse those that have expired driving permits on the road.
