Entebbe International Airport recorded a total of 2,486,893 international passengers in 2025 compared to 2,243,104 in 2024, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has revealed.
According to UCAA, Entebbe Airport recorded 1,932,094 passengers in 2023, and 1,574,405 in 2022.
UCAA Spokesperson, Vianney M. Luggya, says on the side of cargo, the airport recorded 69,595 metric tones in 2025, 67,098 metric tones in 2024, 59,072 metric tones in 2023 and 61,255 metric tones in 2022.
In a related development, the recorded 242,527 international passengers in December 2025, comprising 121,687 arrivals and 120,840 departures, an average of approximately 7,823 arriving and departing passengers per day.
Luggya says a review of previous months indicates that December recorded the highest single-month passenger traffic.
On the cargo front, December recorded 6,728 metric tonnes, comprising 2,356 metric tonnes of imports and 4,372 metric tonnes of exports.
In January 2026, the airport recorded 150,188 international passengers, including 67,570 arrivals and 82,618 departures, representing an average of about 4,845 arriving and departing passengers per day.
In relation to cargo, Entebbe International Airport handled 3,982 metric tonnes in January 2026, with 1,577 metric tonnes of imports and 2,405 metric tonnes of exports. It is worth noting that exports continue to be more than imports, with the bulk of Uganda’s exports comprising of fresh produce, fish, and flowers, among others.
