Group B leaders Masaka SS take on third-placed Welden. Masaka is unbeaten so far in three games.
High scoring Jinja SS play Kayunga’s Green Valley in another tight contest. The defending champions are second after a goalless draw with surprise package Kamwenge Vocational School while Green Valley, who are making their debut appearance are impressive with 6 points.
The battle of leaders will be in Group C where St Julian Gayaza play Mityana’s Royal Giant. Julian are unbeaten after three games. Another sub-plot is St Paul who could benefit from Royal Giant’s loss as they can make 9 points against Kitara Model.
After a painful 1-0 loss to JIPRA, Kakungulu have another nervy fixture against Kisozi seed and a loss could spell a bad omen.
Buddo SS who have scored the most goals, 20 in 2 games could be in for another goal-fest against Amuria while Kibuli must win against charging Ryakasinga CHE if they are to stamp their authority before playing Buddo SS tomorrow.
Kitende can continue their routine with a game against bottom-placed St Edward’s Bukuumi and maybe they can score more goals as they have struggled in the last three games where they have got only 5 goals. The remainder of Kawempe Muslim, St Gerald’s Nyakibale, Hill View and Mentor SS can also still qualify although today’s game of the day will be the one pitting Kawempe against St Gerald’s. Both teams need to outdo the other as they are still locked on 4 points.
Hill View and Mentor are also tied on 3 points.
It will be a battle of the unbeaten when Lugazi’s Hands of Grace meet Old Kampala in group G action. Old Kampala must stop leading scorer Seiri Arigumaho, who has bagged two hat-tricks so far. London College Nansana and High Standard Kateera must also sort themselves as they are tied on 6 points.
If Agape SS Namutumba lose out to Kigezi SS in their group H battle, it will almost be game over. Namagabi, who were squeezed by a physical Kigezi yesterday can renew their chances of staying in Mbarara with a win over Mbarara’s JOVOC.
Standard High Zzana can also continue chasing the qualifying spot with a win over Biyaya SS.
Action in group games ends on Monday.
