Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda has once again partnered with Mountain Rwenzori marathon organizers
Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has injected Shs 173 million in the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon scheduled for August 24, 2024, in Kasese.
The money comes in the form of products and placement of adverts.
CCBU’s Manager for Public Affairs and Communications, Pearl Nimusiima, announced the partnership in a media briefing at the Rwenzori Plant in Namanve on Monday afternoon.
“We are thrilled to once again be part of this exciting event that showcases the beauty of the Rwenzori region,” said Nimusiima.
This is the third time CCBU is partnering with the organizers of the Marathon.
Amos Wekesa, the team lead at the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon, commended CCBU for the partnership.
He said over 4, 000 participants are expected to grace the marathon and the routes will include 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km.
Wekesa said the participants from 30 countries are expected to participate in the event.
