Ajay Kumar Pal, the new CiplaQCIL CEO
The Board of Directors of Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Ltd (CiplaQCIL) has announced the appointment of Ajay Kumar Pal as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director.
Ajay Kumar Pal takes over from Nevin Bradford who will be retiring from the Company effective 30th September 2021, Emmanuel Katongole, the CiplaQCIL Board Chairman said in a statement.
Bradford has been with CiplaQCIL since 2013.
Ajay Kumar Pal joined the Company in February 2020 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he was Senior Director: Head of Manufacturing Cipla South Africa. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Management and Leadership from Nelson Mandela University – South Africa and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) – India.
He has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry spreading across South Africa and India Mr.
In a related development, Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Ltd has also appointed Dr. John Collins Kamili as Company Pharmacist/Executive Director effective 1st May 2021.
He holds Master of Pharmacy from University of Pharmacy, Kharkiv – Ukraine, a Master of Science in Biotech Innovation and Regulatory Sciences from Purdue University – USA. He is a registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU) and the Pharmacy Board in the Ministry of Health of Uganda. Dr. John Kamili has been working with CiplaQCIL since 2009 initially as Quality Assurance Pharmacist and is currently heading the Regulatory Affairs department. Dr. Kamili replaces Dr. Samuel Opio who left the Company on 30th April 2021.
