Aviation Security Officers Undergo Week-Long Training To Enhance Their Capacity

Aviation security officers and supervisors are undergoing a week-long training to enhance their capacity.

The week-long training facilitated by the UK Government, running from October 14-18, 2024, in Entebbe, was opened the Deputy Director General of Uganda CAA,  Olive B. Lumonya, on Monday. The workshop is aimed at enhancing the skills of aviation security officers and supervisors in implementing additional security measures to enhance capacity.

The DDG encouraged participants to engage actively and apply the knowledge gained to implement appropriate preventive security measures in order to ensure that Uganda and the global civil aviation remain fully protected from acts of unlawful interference.

This training is not only a boost for the professional capacity of Uganda CAA staff, but also an essential step in ensuring the safety of travelers and protecting the aviation infrastructure from modern threats.
