Kampala City Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago has lashed out at President Yoweri Museveni’s appointment of singers Catherine Kusasira and Buschaman.
Lukwago who was appearing on a local TV on Monday morning, said Museveni disregarded established institutions like the minister of Kampala and other leaders when he made the appointments.
According to Lukwago, Museveni’s actions tantamount to abuse of office.
Over a week ago, Museveni appointment Kusasira and Buchaman as Presidential Advisers on Kampala and Ghetto affairs respectively.
Lukwago however, warned his colleagues in the opposition not to dismiss Museveni’s moves urging them to unite because the president is making inroads in one of their strongholds.
In the past two weeks, Museveni has been meeting artists and so called social influencers as he lays strategy for the 2021 general elections.
Although he has not declared his intentions to contest, he has since been declared the ruling NRM party candidate.
