Telecom giants MTN wrongly gave subscribers free data on Tuesday, it has emerged.
Subscribers of the telecom company were on Tuesday shocked when they received free 5oombs in data. However, the company now says the mbs were given in error raising questions of incompetence.
“Hello @PatrickOcaido sorry. Please note that the free 500 MBs that were given out have been de-activated. We now advise that you load the normal data bundles. #MTNUGCare>Gloria,” MTN tweeted in response to a subscriber who asked about the fate of the mbs that were no longer active.
The free data came hours after two bosses had been deported for compromising national security.
