Action of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League is set for kick off tonight with six games on card.
KCCA FC, who lifted the curtain raising Super Cup when they beat Vipers on penalties last week, are at their Lugogo home against Tooro United (formerly Soana FC).
KCCA FC have dominated past meetings winning seven times while Tooro United have won twice with the other two fixtures ending in a draw.
Coach Mike Mutebi is expected to throw in the action some of his new signings that include; Musa Esenu, Gift Ali, Muwadda Mawejje, Nicholas Kasozi, Allan Kyambadde, Mike Mutyaba and Bernard Muwanga.
But there’s more talent at his disposal with ulius Poloto and Allan Okello, who have been invited to the national team offering him options.
League champions Vipers have an easy task when they host debutants Ndejje University before the StarTimes TV cameras in the newly refurbished St Mary’s stadium.
New coach Javier Martinez Espinoza presented a team that showed signs of brilliance but there will be no time to waste as points are vital at this stage.
A much changed SC Villa, who boast of a record 16 league titles, are away to Kirinya Jinja SS.
Tough for newcomers
All league debutants start away in their league games.
Nyamityobora, who overcame tense moments in the past few days following the resignation of their chairman Emma Yaramba and the CEO Fred Akena, are away to Onduparaka.
The team held a mini camp in Luwero to prepare for their first fixture in the top flight.
Ndejje will ot find the going easy either as they visit Kitende with their Francis Onekalit facing his former side that nurtured him through school.
Paidha Black Angels are also visiting URA FC at Namboole.
