UNDP Uganda Office Unveils Training Opportunities

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is now accepting applications for the ‘Uganda Training on Environment, Community, Health and Safety’, Business Focus has established.

The trainings will be delivered on a regional basis with Entebbe (Central), Kasese (West), Mbale (East) and Gulu (North) being the training hubs, UNDP Uganda office said in a statement sent to Business Focus. “To foster inclusive and equal opportunity to participation, all participating countries in the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programmes adopted the modality of soliciting and receiving applications from interested parties towards selection as training participants who will in turn train other community members and stakeholders through their return-to-work projects. Successful applicants will thus be selected in an ethical and transparent manner,” UNDP says.

The ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme is a three-year, €13.1 million capacity building program that aims to build the profile, and improve the management, of Development Minerals (industrial minerals; construction materials; dimension stones; and semi-precious stones). The program is an initiative of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States, financed by the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and implemented by UNDP. Deadline for submission of applications is March 17, 2017.        For details visit: http://procurement-notices.undp.org/view_notice.cfm?notice_id=36133
