If all the banks and other deposit-taking institutions regulated by the Central Bank collapsed today, the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF) would be able to pay 16.7 per cent of the protected deposits. The DPF is a government agency that provides deposit insurance to depositors in banks and deposit-taking microfinance institutions.
