URA FC Unveils 7 Players Ahead Of 2nd Round of UPL

URA FC has unveiled 7 players signed in the January Window ahead of the next half of the season.  These are: Herman Wasswa, 23, (Forward) from Lusaka Dynamos, Deboss Kalama, 28, (Forward) from Kira United FC, Godfrey Ssembatya, 20, (Midfielder) from Nangabo Green Valley, Sadrach Ssebulime, 21, (Goal Keeper) from City Lads FC , Derick Ochen, 22, (Defender) from Kira United, Moses Sseruyidde (Midfielder) from Kira United and Charles Odeke, 31, (Forward) from Masavu FC.

“We are delighted to have finally secured the services of the above players. We believe that these players have all the qualities to make an immediate impact at the club,” James Kizza, the URA FC Chairman said on Thursday.

“We are committed to take the club forward and with all your support, we look forward to assembling young, talented and experienced players as requested by the head coach for seasons to come,” he said, adding: “Our life-force to develop the game of football in our country is obligatory, we pray that God is in our favour for us to achieve this.”

He added that URA FC must be a role model club in Uganda and East Africa.

URA FC sits in the 7th position on the AUPL table.

“This is not where we belong as a club, as we head towards the second round, all our efforts will be combined to achieve the top spot,” he said.

URA participated in the 2018 Mapinduzi Cup and  lost in penalties at the finals.
