Sekabembe Declines KCB Top Job After New Juicy Deal At Dfcu Bank

William Sekabembe, who  the Chief of Business and Executive Director at dfcu bank has declined to join  KCB as Managing Director after his current employer gave him a juicy deal.

KCB bank had given Sekabembe the top job, but dfcu feared it could fail to get a right replacement for retiring Juma Kisaame, forcing the bank that acquired the defunct Crane bank Ltd in early 2017 to give him a deal he couldn’t resist.

In a letter dated September 5th 2018 seen by this site, Sekabembe informs the head of the Human Resource Department at  KCB Bank Uganda Ltd of his decision to remain at dfcu.

“I would like to give my appreciation for the recent Managing Director job offer with KCB Bank Uganda Ltd, however, after careful evaluation, I regrettably decline the position,” Sekabembe says.

He adds: “Despite the very encouraging upward mobility described within the organization, I think it would be in my best interest to stay employed in my current position at dfcu bank for personal reasons.”

A source reveals that Sekabembe was determined to quit but dfcu the management offered him ‘a deal of his life.’
