Saudi Arabia Recognises Consul Katatumba

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has given what many is a nod of recognition to Angella Katatumba, the Acting Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uganda.

This was revealed in a message to Katatumba who is currently recuperating from bodily harm meted on her by “Chicken Tonight” restaurant staff last weekend.

“It was on the news that you were hurt and admitted. This is to wish you best wishes and quick recovery,” reads a letter delivered with flowers to Angella from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kampala.

The flowers sent to Angella Katatumba by the KSA Ambassador to Uganda

The message by Ambassador Abdullah Fahd Alkatani will go a long way in freezing speculation about Angella’s role at the consulate of Pakistan.

On Monday, social media was awash with a letter authored by the Pakistan High Commission to Nairobi, Kenya disowning Katatumba.

However, Angella released a letter indicating that she had taken over the consul role (Acting Capacity ) following the death of her father, Bonny Katatumba who was Pakistan’s Consul to Uganda.
