Museveni, Besigye Join Ugandans To Mourn Talented Radio

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday joined millions of Ugandans in mourning the death of the country’s best vocalist, Moses Sekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.

Radio who was 33, breathed his last on Thursday morning at Case Clinic in the capital, Kampala. He had been admitted with head injuries following a bar brawl two weeks ago.

“Have been told about the untimely death of musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio. I had only recently made a financial contribution towards his treatment and hoped he would get better. He was a talented young person with a great future ahead of him. May he rest in peace,” Museveni’s twitter handle reads.

Democratic Party (DP) President, Norbert Mao praised the fallen singer’s “prolific creativity.”

“We shall miss that haunting voice that lingers on long after the song has stopped. Another fruit fallen unripe. We are however consoled that Moze Radio’s life was not in vain. He leaves behind timeless music due to his prolific creativity. We mourn you Moze! Ebirungi birimumaaso,” Mao tweeted.

Former FDC President Kizza Besigye wrote, “Gone to soon & needlessly! My thoughts and prayers are with the family members, his colleagues &friends. RIP.”

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director,  Jennifer Musisi said, “Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Moses Ssekibogo best known as Mowzey Radio. A very sad loss of a young talented man.”
