MICHO SAGA: Goalkeeper Onyango Spills Cranes Coach Secrets

Uganda Cranes captain and goalkeeper Denis Onyango has confirmed that national coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic told him he was quitting.

The reigning African Football of the year (African based) told local news agency, URN on phone from his base in Pretoria, South Africa on Tuesday that when he met Sredojevic few days ago, the Serbian made it clear that his time was up to leave.

“He was very emotional when we met before the CHAN qualifier against South Sudan and he told me he has made up his mind to leave because he cannot work under such conditions any more,” added Onyango.

The goalkeeper, voted Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) sports personality of the Year 2016 few days ago said the coach intimated to him that his family member had even traveled to stay in Ethiopia because the head of the family could not provide adequately since the Uganda FA was not paying him in time.
