Livara Cosmetics Boss Maxima Scoops Top Women’s Award

Uganda’s young emerging entrepreneur, Maxima Nsimenta could soon make it to Forbes list of young enterprising Africans if her recent success is something to go by.

The Livara Cosmetics boss on Thursday received the Award for Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association Limited (UWEAL) Rising Star award in recognition for her efforts in the business world.

UWEAL’s mandate is focused on empowering women to create wealth through capacity building, networking and advocacy. The association’s membership consists of women entrepreneurs, aspiring business women and professional women from various sectors and is spread throughout Uganda including a program for young women who are interested in business under the Girls’ Entrepreneurship Program.

Livara manufactures natural and organic cosmetics made from shea butter.

Nsimenta recently opened a branch in Ntinda, a sign of her growing business

An elated Nsimenta later posted on a message her Facebook timeline;

“It was very humbling being honoured and recognized by women who understand business and are passionate about hard work and studious achievement.

Receiving the C. Kisumba Award for UWEAL Rising Star has been the highlight of my year thus far. And undoubtedly makes the effort worthwhile. I am very grateful for the recognition by Uweal Uganda. Mwebaare! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Nsimenta hit headlines after she left her shs28m a month job to focus on business.
