FUFA Moves To Save Financially Struggling Express FC

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has revealed plans to professionalise and commercialise Express FC.

In a statement on his official facebook page on Thursday, Moses Magogo, the FUFA President said they have embarked on a five year strategic plan to make Express better.

“At the end of the programme, FC will be running a 5-Year strategic plan which will improve the Governance, Administration, Finances and consequently Sporting Success,” Magogo said.

Express has been struggling financially for a long time, with players going for months without pay as a result of unstable top management.

Below is his unedited statement:

Express FC may be experiencing difficult moments of sporting results coinciding with the high riding of rivals SC Villa and KCCA FC but FC is FC

FC is a continental and century brand and a sleeping giant

FUFA has received an application for the FUFA Clubs Pro Agenda from the management of FC and has approved the application

Clubs Pro Agenda is a programme designed by FUFA to help its member clubs professionalise and commercialise.

At the end of the programme, FC will be running a 5-Year strategic plan which will improve the Governance, Administration, Finances and consequently Sporting Success.

The glory of FC must be restored for a better league and national team. As a villa fan the joy is beating a strong Express

At FUFA, we have drawn strategies, implemented them, professionalised leading to Commercialisation which earned us sporting success.

Yes we shall do it at FC. Our history is that we walk our talk.

Let the entire football community support FUFA and the current FC management on this cause.
