Bobi Wine: People Power Is About Over 40M Suffering Ugandans

Kyadondo East lawmaker Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has released a new video explaining what people power ‘ideology’ is all about.

Bobi Wine, who is in America for medical treatment following reported torture on the eve of the recently concluded Arua Municipality bye-election, says people power is about “over 40 million Ugandans who continue to be oppressed.”

He adds that is about millions of Ugandans who continue to suffer and are craving for a better life.

“When I speak I am only trying to echo the voice of millions and millions of Ugandans that continue to suffer,” he says, adding that: “We are not a violent group; we despise violence and we are not associated with violence whatsoever. I have been telling you right from the beginning that we should be peaceful but assertive.”

He adds that President Yoweri Museveni and his Lieutenants have been trying to project him and his group as violent people so that “they can respond to us with violence.”

Bobi Wine further claims that he has information that government has “printed very many red T-shirts with words People Power so that they can send out those criminals to cause chaos and later blame it on us.”

He further claims that government also plans to plant criminals among his group, who will throw stones and cause violence so that security agencies can response with bullets.

Bobi Wine says he will return to Uganda on Thursday this week.
